Good topic. Hopefully there are more green attributes to your property than digital thermostats and recycling bins.Proper insulation, CFLs, water-efficient fixtures and drought-tolerant landscaping may distinguish your property from the next. Green-conscience tenants are savvy to standard features.

How do owners handle that these large kinds of trees cause issues related foundations when the roots grow close to driveways and foundation? Some of my investors that we manage for pointed pointed out these issues with lots of trees.

Seattle Property Management – Dave Poletti & Associates has taken going green to a new level in property management. We have gone to digital signatures on our leases saving over 50 pages of printed copy per lease. Before the switch, new tenants would walk out with a bundle of lease papers, addendums, disclosures, etc. etc. Now their new lease is sent digitally secured to their email inbox. Our paper consumption has been drastically reduced as a result.

I have always been impressed with the city of Sacramento’s program for providing free deciduous trees to homeowners too keep their homes cool during the summer and allowing sunlight in during the winter….plus it adds beauty to the city.
